I was at that protest and the ONLY person Arden was endangering was himself & a film crew from TVNZ (I think). The rest of us being kept a good 20 feet away from the steps, as per standard operating proceedure. Now, if Arden has broken the law NOBODY is arguing that he shouldn’t be held accountable. I just have to wonder why Hunt got on his high horse, and the Police considered this important enough to prosecute while a prima facae case that the Prime Minister had committed FRAUD was too trivial.

It is the Police that made the decison regards charging the immature media attention seeking Arden. If they are going to enforce security around Parliament they can not do favours for MP’s. Let then Courts decide.

The Police are running a tight-rope in regards to consistency between Arden and MP. Not the first time for judicial bodies – remember the NZSE investigation of Helen Clark, not to mention the SFO investigation of the National Party, with the minister briefed even before the Party President.

What there is no doubt of is that Helen Clark is a hypocrite!

Agree completely — this sort of stuff stinks of one rule for some, and another for everyone else.
