How often do you get to argue in court whether or not you are a colony. The Pitcairn Supreme Court has just ruled that Pitcairn Island is subject to British jurisdiction.

It would have been fascinating if they had found that the Island was independent as it could set up a great paradox. If British law does not apply, then the UK could not not have legally appointed the Pitcairn Supreme Court, and hence the Court could not deliver a ruling!
