Helen’s secret police

It is good to see growing revulsion at how Helen Clark has turned MFAT into her secret police or spy service. It is rare for the media to argue against making something public, but the NZ Herald summed it up so well in their editorial on Thursday.

Their comments include the words inappropriate, utterly unethical and crass. Obviously stung as the PM’s press secretary was ordered to write a letter to them defending her. Poor Mike Munro – he has to do it, because no-one else will.

To make it worse, today a US Senator has said he can not recall the alleged comment either.

I understand many within MFAT, plus the SSC, are very upset at what Clark has done.
