New look for NZ Herald

November 27th, 2004 at 10:08 am by David Farrar

The NZ Herald website has a new design, and it is an improvement. I’m glad they have kept the feature where if looking at one NZ news story, it lists the others on the right hand side. Makes it much easier to navigate than Stuff.

    Yeah,

just noticed that this morning. Gotta say I always liked the Herald website because it was so clean and uncluttered. Initial reaction to the new one is that it’s getting more bloated and the information is header to find, but I’ll give it some time.

It’s much better after you block all the ads…

The same site that from about 9am to 2pm I was only getting 404 errors on the home page?

Can’t say I like it. In particular, the links in the body look way too similar to the body text.

    Is there a search engine?

the search engine is there, top right under subscribe to the herald, but only on some news pages – seems to be intermittant, just teething problems, I guess.
