Pickled Kittens

November 24th, 2004 at 10:49 pm by David Farrar

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

A woman who was furious about police taking her three preserved snakes stormed down to the Hamilton station and threw a jar of pickled kittens at the counter.

Susan Hoskyn, 39, said she was so mad she could barely contain herself as she made her way to the police station about 1pm on Sunday.

“I walked in the door and said ‘You’ve taken my snakes; here, have my pussy as well’, and slammed the jar on to the counter.”

The full story is in the Waikato Times. What do they put in the water in Hamilton?

I agree something very weird is in the water down there. Don’t aucklanders drink the same stuff now?

I think it’s something like 20% Waikato river water now. It would certainly explain the local body election results.

Ah, but it’s that same water that leads to such acts of greatness as the soon-to-be-unveiled Riff Raff statue in Hamilton.

I’ve drunk many litres of the stuff and it’s mostly done me good, I reckon.

But as for that Waikato bitter…
