International Year of Microcredit

December 30th, 2004 at 4:20 pm by David Farrar

No that is not a typo. 2005 has been designated the International Year of Microcredit. My God they must be running short of causes.

Previous years have been somewhat decent with 2002 being Mountains, 2001 Volunteers, 1999 Older Persons, 1994 Family etc.

But microcredit? I didn’t even know what it was until I saw 2005 was they year of it.

Ah yes, but perhaps you don’t need microcredit.

It makes a huge difference to the lives of the people who receive it.
