No more blogging today

Don’t expect any more blogging today, as in around an hour myself and a dozen or so friends will commence watching all three extended version DVDs of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Each extended version is around four hours, so with meal breaks I expect we will finish only a bit before midnight.

Many DVDs only have a few minutes of extra footage on the main film, but LOTR had around 40 minutes extra on each movie which is a massive amount. All up that is an extra 90+ minutes of movie, and hence why many LOTR fans have said that the three extended versions will be the “full” movie of the book for them.

Oh, and the way to really annoy your friends while watching the films, is to suggest each time Sam looks at Frodo, that Sam and Frodo may be more than just good friends 🙂
