Posting Policy
December 31st, 2004 at 11:38 am by David Farrar1. Who has the right to post comments on this blog?
Apart from me, no-one at all has the right to post comments. Posting is a privilege, not a right.
2. Okay, so who is allowed to post comments here?
Anyone at all, up until the stage I ask them to stop. I welcome comments, and they add a lot of enjoyment to the blog for myself, and I am sure others. Advertising spam however is always unwelcome and is deleted and blacklisted on a regular basis.
3. Have you ever banned anyone from posting?
Only once. It is a last resort, not a first.
4. What is the easiest way to get banned?
To attack me personally. Quite simply it will not be tolerated. I welcome people to disagree with my views, to correct my errors, to debate what I assert, but if you attack my integrity, my character etc I

Not allowed to say “C**T” either (even if the 7th Offender Helen Clark is a lying one) … however I understand that Fuck, Shit and Arsehole are perfectly acceptable.
Hope that this doesn’t violate Rule 8 Section 3.
Happy New Year

My personal views on the C word is that it is okay to use in the sense of “I had a C of a day” but to call someone a C is just a wee bit too offensive. Yes even for Helen

It is a very adapitive word though – “I can’t get the c**t started”…”that c**t there did it” … “nah he’s a good c**t but his mates a real c**t” or even just “C*nnnnnnt” when say the spanner slips and you skin your knuckles up.
Should be more widely used.

Consider yourself cruelly mocked! (Insert half hearted maniacal laughter here).

Ha – you call that mocking. Mocking would be revealing our secret Buffy DVD sessions. Oh whoops ….

Am I allowed to humiliate you and abuse you?

You mean like you did every night when we lived together, yankee boy?

Telecom specifically says
“We may transfer to someone else all or any part of our side of the agreement you have with us. We will tell you if we do this. You must not transfer to anyone, or have anyone else perform, your side of the agreement you have with us. ”
This is the closest they get to saying they have any obligation to you over what their users do on your site. As you can see the sort of fairness they believe in. The fair use policy only applies to Telecom sites.

Try reading the Xtra acceptable use policy. There are three clauses in it which would apply.

Applying the ‘c word’ to Helen Clark is also a gross libel on a body part that serves a useful function and brings much pleasure to a good chunk of the human race
