Married to “a Maori builder”

February 24th, 2005 at 4:05 pm by David Farrar

PNN has highlighted a lovely quote from Buckingham Palace:

“An aide said the Queen did not always attend family weddings, citing the example of the marriage of the Duke of Gloucester elder daughter, Lady Davina Windsor, to a Maori builder.”

Nice to know Camilla ranks below a Maori builder on the desirability scale :-)

Well very interesting. I wonder if her Majesty is aware that Lady Davinia’s Children will be first class NewZealanders entitled to all manner of privileges under the treaty. I liked that portrait of the betrothed couple at the very end of the Holmes show last night.

I guess the “maori builder” did it. Liz simply could not bear to go.

Yet the Queen did go to the wedding of the Daughter of the Duke Of westminster, one of the richest men in England- you know the one where Charles dropped out because Camilla would be at the back of the church.
Seems to be that Liz will only go to a ‘church’ wedding AND they havent lived together before the wedding
