Police use of spyware

A few days ago I noted an article which suggested the Police can use spyware to intercept communications without getting a warrant.

I mused aloud “It would be nice for an MP to ask a couple of parliamentary questions to the Police Minister asking for confirmation that the Police do not, and will not, use spyware without a warrant.”

A very diligent and helpful Rodney Hide took my suggestion up and has the answers on his blog.

The answers are rather disturbing.
