A story in the NZ Herald about a $34,000 fraud through probable use of a trojan horse keystroke logger program.

    I suspect they are telling the truth, and they got the details from a script kiddies web site.

    It’s not that it would be hard to obtain a trojan that could do the job, the issue is how to deploy it. If they had no relationship with the victim, I suspect it was “opportunity” rather than planned.

    As for how they used the money – all I can say is they were very, very stupid and have not read enough crime novels.
