Highly Offensive
May 28th, 2005 at 8:35 am by David FarrarThe latest immigration rant from NZ First is highly offensive and bordering on paranoid. Peters proposes an immigration “flying squad” staffed by patriotic New Zealanders. Sounds like vigilantes to me.
Peters plays to xenophobia as he doesn’t oppose immigrants per se, just some immigrants such as Asians. I’ve yet to hear him rail against British immigrants, such as his Deputy Leader.
This sort of xenophobic scare-mongering does have real effects. We just have to look at Antonie Dixon who has just got sentenced to no parole for 20 years for a brutal murder. What did Dixon tell the Police – “he had shot a black bastard who deserved to die, criticised Mr Te Aute for being in a “white area” and complained that the country was overrun by blacks and Asians”

the reality is if we increase out immigration quota we will mainly attract Asians ans long term completely alter the character of this country. The days of UK and other European immigration are over indeed there may be a process of repriation back to Eurpoe and this will intensify if the character of this country reaches a critical tipping point. The Europeans in NZ could easily go the Australia and back to Europe indeed I encourage people to basically leave. Why stay in this scenic back water.

NZ First sing their hymns of hatred every election year. The really sad thing is that about 10% of NZ’ers would be prepared to give their vote to a party that peddles fear for a living.

Personally, I thank we’re still very lucky to have Winston. Better to have a lazy chancer such as Peters for thugs such as Dixon to listen to than a local Le Pen, who could really whip up some hatred to destructive effect. As long as there is Wonston, there’s no room for a Le Pen.
Winston is a lightning rod for idiots who would be dangerous if given their head by a real xenophobe — but Winston is possibly the laziest man in parliament. He doesn’t want to whip up hatred, all he wants to whip up is another three years sucking off the state tit.

Make him Minister of Immigration and finally after 30 years in politics with very little to show for it, we will see how he goes. He has mined this field with considerable political success. But the reality is the European population in the country has peaked and will now decline. The factors that lead them to come here have gone, indeed NZ is not really the place to be. ortunately there are good opportunities in Europe, Ireland inparticular and of course Australia will be be glad to absorb the entire European population of NZ. I tell every to go this country is f**ked. Let the Asians and the Maoris have it I say. What a mix!! Maori will be eaten alive.

Mr Peters said in parliament recently that Paul Swain “does not know which Tom, Dick, Yusef, Ahmed, Sum, or Ying-Tong is actually here.”
Making someone like him Minister of Immigration would be like the conclave electing Ian Paisley to be Pope.

I like New Zealand born Asians, they are usually more industrious,honest and courteous than the average New Zealander and seem to raise the IQ standard. The imports into Auckland how-ever seem exactly the opposite and have a high violent crime rate and are out to defraud our welfare systems.I also can’t see any national benefit in accepting Moslems, almost all of whom are fundamentalists and some of whom a threat to our security. I like the idea of having comonsense lay people censoring the verdicts of quangos composed largely of recipients of Political Favours and pressure groups.I hope Rodney and Winston both make it back elsewise effective opposition to this Goverment is non-existent

Might I add that I feel much more friendlier to asian people who have kiwi accents. It’s kind of shameful, but it also leaves me in no doubt that they have just as much right to be here as I do. I feel pride too, for some odd reason.
