Now you can call him a child rapist!

June 28th, 2005 at 3:01 pm by David Farrar

Graham Capill, former Leader of Christian Heritage, has pleaded guilty in Christchurch District Court to five more sex offences against young girls, including one of rape.

I repeat the comments I made when he was charged (and which were possibly premature, though not inaccurate):

“Frankly the thought of anyone at all raping a young girl is sickening. But the thought that over the entire last decade while Capill was preaching how gays are sinners, and self-appointed himself our moral guardian, he was raping and abusing little girls makes me want to sign up to vigilante justice.”

In amongst the anger at Capill, is a great sadness at the impact this had had on his own family, and on the families of the victims.

Grant doesn’t like me predicting sentences (and I got the threat to kill the PM one totally wrong) but surely he is now looking at a sentence of at least ten years?

Thank God he never made it into Parliament. I’m proud to have done my part in 1996 to have kept the Christian Coalition from making 5%. There were many of us in National, who viewed the thought of being dependent on Capill to form a Government as abhorrent, and were active in the campaign to stop them. In hindsight, we have no idea how lucky were were that we avoided such a nightmare.

    Tonto – Are u there?
Come and defend your good friend now.

And to that other dispicable person who suggested that we all get over it and let Capill move on – well, he’ll be moving on now alright into a small dark dank cell for the next ten years at least we hope.
Shouldn’t multiple charges like this make him a candidate for preventive detention?

    Allah protect us.

I totally missed the news about this creepy christian. So this is why Jesus died to save sickos like Capill.

Years ago some suggested to me the only penalty for male child sex offenders, because most of them are male, was to put them naked in a long tin shed full of dry hay doused with petrol. At the end of the shed there is a door for the perpetrator to exit. The only thing is that two thirds of the way down the shed the perpertrator is tied by his penis to an unbreakable chain. He is given a blunt knife to make the choice to fry in hell or hack himself free and make it to the door – which may or may not be locked.

Perhaps this could be tested on Capill

DPF – your comments about National’s flirtation (politically) with Capill stirred my memory bank. As I recall, the Nats were very keen indeed on Capill as a coalition partner. They seem to be stricken with amnesia now.

And before we hear any bullshit about remorse or guilty pleas or saving sinners, if the slimy little scumbag had any remorse at all he would have confessed to the latest offences when he was accused of the first.

The man is a vile hypocritical pig who deserves no compassion or mercy.

Michael it is quite wrong to say National was very keen. Some within National were keen, some were not, and some were agnostic.

fitting in with the 3 strikes and you’re out theory Capill is going to fit really well into prison life.

He’s a child abuser – lowest of the low in the prison hierarchy.
He’s a former police prosecutor – a chance to meet up with someone he put away perhaps?
He used to be a politician – no disrespect DPF but they’re rated about as highly as real estate agents by most people and I can’t see inmates being any more favorable.

Though he’s probably been put in the sex offenders unit at Rolleston anyway. I wonder if he got Morgan Fahey’s old cell?

I guess David they were all grateful they did not do business with Capill, I was one of the agnostic ones. If the CHP was required to form a government then the National Party leader had a duty to form a government with them if that was possible. The same applies with Winston. But I do think the voters need to know who Winston prefers. I do not think the election should be high-jacked by Winston to decide the Government. And if Winston wants to keep it a secret then possible NZF voters need to decide if that is what they want.

I kept wondering how Capill had access to these children over a long period of time. Then a lightbulb went on in my head. I did some checking with some friends of mine that are very much in the know and surprise, surprise tis as I thought.
Q:How do you get access to young chilren?
A:[Deleted by DPF for legal reasons]

    You work it out.

    Allah protect us.
