    2008 will see another muslim mp when ahmed zaoui is elected to parliment on the labour or green party list.

    It is not that unthinkable that it could happen.

    Whoops, didn’t see this post before commenting further up the page.

    Ahmed Zaoui would have to become a citizen before standing for parliament – which would take him five years from the date that the Security Certificate is lifted. 2008 is out. If Winston hangs in there until 2011, he might however be facing a far better ‘serpent underbelly’ foil in the House than Groser.

    Zaoui joining the party who did it’s utmost to boot him out? With his background Alliance or even that AntiCapitalist mob would be a better bet. The Greens of course would welcome him with open arms.
    I ask again. How does working in a democratically elected secular government fit in with the Muslim’s ultimate aim of Sharia law for all? I suppose it’s the means to an end. And people get alarmed over the Brethren.
