What a lot of bullshit. For fraser to cite ‘political interference’ is simply an ass-covering tactic to try to take the heat off himself. Between him and Bill Ralston, the pair of them have just about destroyed a valuable state asset worth hundreds of millions.

Never mind about those silly so-called “celebrities’” salaries….. but how good a move has it been to alienate most of the staff, lose huge numbers of key people while destroying the ratings and dumbing down the programme content to almost imbecile levels.

The pair of them deserve to have been fired long ago and it’s a great pity that the board didn’t have the balls to do it when they saw the first signs of megalomanic instability in fraser’s management decisions.

aybe this would be a good opportunity to fire the board too and convene a new board made up of appointees from across the political spectrum.. scrap this stupid PC ‘Charter’ and establish a truly quality TV station that shows intelligent programming….

…. dream on….. not gonna happen……..

Their most valuable product is the 6pm news. Now Fraser has confirmed that a politically motivated board is interfering in decision making. The public will continue to walk away from TVNZ if it just becomes a Government poodle. I hope they do. It is quite extraordinary we have the state involved in broadcasting. The thing should be allowed to go tits up.
