The Mother of all West Wing Spoilers

February 26th, 2006 at 7:18 pm by David Farrar

Okay over the break is a major major major spoiler for The West Wing. Now don’t click on the link if you don’t want all the suspense to be spoiled. It is probably the biggest spoiler you can imagine so again don’t click if you don’t want to know and then whinge that you would rather not know.

The spoiler is from a leaked script which hasn’t yet screened so it is not 100% guaranteed but it is highly reliable. Okay now to the spoiler:

Donna, Bram, Ronna, Annabeth, and others are up late monitoring the first poll results since the California nuclear reactor accident. The New York Times tracking finally comes up and has the race tied nationally, and specifically tied in California.

There is a very cute scene with all of them huddled around a computer screen and their faces splitting into grins as they realize what the screen says. Bram and Donna then go running through the halls of the hotel beating on everyone’s door.

Donna reaches room 801 and you hear a very sleepy Josh saying “I’m up, I’m up.” He answers the door and he has never looked more delightfully rumpled. He was sleeping in a big blue shirt that is all wrinkled, and when the camera
eventually pulls back he was wearing plaid boxers.

Donna comes in and tells him the news. His face is just completely full of joy and he reaches out and grabs Donna’s face with both hands and they kiss.
This was just an excited, friendly kiss, but when they pull back, they both stare at each other for a few seconds. Then it was as if they both simultaneously
combusted!

The door is slowly closing on its own as they are kissing until it is almost
closed and you can’t see them anymore. They cut to Santos running down the hall laughing and saying he doesn’t believe what everyone is telling him. He’s
yelling for Josh and he pushes open his door ….

Meanwhile, Donna completes her devolution to homo bimbous… She couldn’t do better than an obnoxious slab of dick cheese like Josh Lyman?

Surely a bigger spoiler would be, I dunno, who wins. This became reasonably obvious when it was announced this would be the last season. How about how Leo dies? Or real spoilers – the things that come right out of thin air – terrorist attack on E-day, Bartlett’s love child, etc.

If the Republican wins, I’m sure you will hear the wailing and rending of garments clear across the Pacific basin. :)

Oh I can tell you how Leo dies. On election day and he is found by Annabeth (whom he was going to start a relationship with if he hadn’t died).

You mean he won’t be shot by Dick Cheney? Interesting parallels with that matter actually – would the White House announce immediately, and potentially sway votes, wait a couple of hours until the polls have closed in Ohio, and Florida, etc.?
