Question Time yesterday

Question time yesterday was awfully messy. It stretched the normal hour long session to over 100 minutes.

As John Armstrong reports, the Speaker allowed a Minister to avoid answering questions on the grounds he was not speaking as a Minister but in his role of having been a district councillor 11 years ago! And this is despite the comments in question having been made at a Labour caucus meeting!! It was a farce.

Next we will have the Prime Minister refuse to answer questions on the grounds her comments were made in her role as a former university lecturer rather than Prime Minister. Hell – better not give her ideas.
