The “Black Cocks”

The t-shirts say “Black Cocks: Expect Big Things”, the male caps are: “Not A Soft Option” and the female caps: “Nobody Likes To Come Second”. Heh.
I am sure some official somewhere is very upset.
Ironically the team plays Jamacia tomorrow!

I’m sure I remember Badminton NZ actually considering making “Black Cocks” the official nickname of the team not all that long ago.

DeanO – that’s the spirit, you say you’re an old “shuttler”, if you get a shirt you do realise this will then make you an old “Cock”, but yes a good memento to hang on the wall.
Just to digress a little, what are the views of you people on the results of the NZ team to date, not casting dispersions on any performances but, it seems our guy’s are giving their all and coming up just short. Forth place short!
Vote:I look at the medal tally and use this formulae to rationalise it, Aussie have 20 million people (approx) we have about 4 million, we are level pegging with them (per ca pita)in the Bronze and silver stakes, but when it comes to the Gold, we’re not even in the hunt, where can one get the details on how much money NZ Olympic and Comm Games we are at present investing, because that seems to be the problem to an avid sports fan.

Hey all,
Vote:I have one of these unique t-shirts, my wife and I were just at the games supporting the NZ Black Cocks as her sister is in the squad. I must say the supporters shirts were a hit with all, I lost count as to how many times we were photographed and questioned as to where these can be bought.
It was an honor to be there, decked out in such controversial kit, we certainly revved up the stadium, the NZ team played some awesome badminton… “Go Black Cocks!!”
