Sinister Overseas Influence in NZ

Do you remember Trevor Mallard maliciously inventing allegations about how sinister US interests were funding the National Party?

Well maybe Trevor should be looking closer to home. In today’s HOS Matt McCarten writes:

Our union, Unite, has sent three of our leading organisers to wealthier parts of the world to raise money from other trade unions for our upcoming campaign to win a union employment agreement for McDonald’s workers

Now some of these foreign trade unions are huge – worth hundreds of millions of dollars in assets.

    There is a big difference here. McCarten is telling the truth about what his own union is doing, and good luck to him. Mallard was lying about what another party was doing, and should be treated as the disgusting creature he is.

    And while National was being accused of being funded by the Americans, just how much were the unions funding the NZ Labour campaign?

    Someone sending a messate to me referred in passing to recent US research which showed that raising the minimum wage encouraged young men to leave school without a qualification.

    I suspect that raising youth rates will have the same effect only more so.

    I do not recall anyone siting this argument here.

    Well done for bringing this up, David. However, what you need to remember is that hypocrisy and deceit are fine when perpetrated by the Left.

    Mc Donalds stands for everything American. Maybe UNITI could be looking towards the Middle East for a handout?

    This boot boy for trade unions should be looking to get money from home. What do they want the money for anyway. Are they giving it all to the NZ Labour Party. It seems the trade unions are little more than money launderers for foreign money to give to the Labour Party.
