  1. Michael (The Right Wing One) Says:

    And this is news?

Will TVNZ do an investigation into the NZ First backbench and reveals that not even Winston knows what they do (or who they are for that matter.)

  2. leigh Says:

Judith told the reporter she just takes “calls” from Aucklanders(?) and passes them on to other ministers who write reports to Cabinet. Duh. So why is Judith in Cabinet? Do we normally pay “call centre” staff THAT MUCH!

  3. Craig Ranapia Says:

    Leigh:

OH, let’s be fair. I understand Tizard is kept quite busy being Helen’s Mini-Me at all those Auckland cocktail parties, cultural events and tiresome fora when the Great Leader is unavoidably occupied elsewhere. And even when she isn’t, doesn’t every Dame Edna Everage need a Madge Allsop to make them look fabulous by comparison? You can’t entrust all that vital networking to mere clerical help!

  4. side show bob Says:

I sure Judith is also unsure of who or what she does.

  5. mikey bill Says:

And the Nats have Lockwood Smith to their credit.

  6. Gooner Says:

Mikey, what portfolio does Smith have in cabinet?

  7. Zippy Gonzales Says:

According to Labour’s site, Tizard’s last speech from her Ministry of Consumer Affairs handbag was seven months ago. The Beehive site shows slightly more output, three speeches in the last seven months.

How many cabinet papers has she prepared for Consumer Affairs, or is she just letting David Russell do all the work?

  8. Zippy Gonzales Says:

According to Labour’s site, Tizard’s last speech was seven months ago. The Beehive site shows slightly more output, four speeches in the last seven months. They were about children’s books, Margaret Mahy’s birthday, the National Archives and the Digital Forum.

How many cabinet papers has she prepared from her Ministry of Consumer Affairs handbag, or is she just letting David Russell do all the work?

  9. tim barclay Says:

be interesting to know hom many cabinet papers she has authored as associate minister of roading. She is claiming credit for the budget package, but what did she actually do.

  10. Darren Says:

I was interviewing one of the bosses at Archives New Zealand yesterday.
Apparantly, Judith Tizard is the minister responsible for archives.
After being told , I nearly had to lie down with shock.

  11. libertyscott Says:

Judith isn’t in Cabinet, she isn’t trusted to keep her mouth shut. She has absolutely no role in the roading funding, it was driven by Cullen and the PM, Judith at best makes photo appearances when projects get started.

  12. lenovo Says:

Interesting that Craig finds Judith to be Helens handbag. Let me think of some elderly gent who has a much younger trophy boyfriend, only to help him get in the car of course!. Edna and Madge indeed.

  13. Toby1845 Says:

I think that you are all being very unfair. How else can Helen and Judith appear in public together without arousing comment?

  14. Craig Ranapia Says:

    Leonovo:

*lol* Thanks for giving me and the better half the best laugh we’ve had for ages. If only I was a trophy wife – I could quit both my jobs and go shopping!

  15. mara Says:
