Bloody Terrorists
Heathrow Airport has closed after authories arrested 21 people in the UK, in relation to an elleged plot to blow up up to ten aircraft, while they are over major cities in the US and UK – hoping to maximise civilian casualities.
The US Department of Homeland Security has set the threat level for flights originating in the UK to “red” – the first time.
Now I’m scheduled to fly into the USA on Saturday. God it is going to be a nightmare with this level of security. Even worse for my friends from London whom I am meeting there.
But still a minor hassle compared to what would have happened if the plot wasn’t stopped. However I see as a temporary measure one can not have any cabin luggage at all, except for a passport and a wallet!

ISLAMOFASCIST TERRORISM RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD TODAY THREATENING THE U.K.
As reported in the media tonight, the U.K. has been placed on critical alert after the police had previously arrested in the London area an unspecified number of people during the night. British police said on Thursday they have thwarted a major terrorist plot to blow up aircraft in mid-flight, particularly targeting flights from Britain to the United States. Police said the aim of the plot was to detonate bombs smuggled on board aircraft in hand luggage.
Isn’t this interesting, although terrible that these sort of events are now happening and have happened on numerous occasions in the U.K.
Unfortunately many people do believe that Britain’s support for Israel and America is turning the UK into a target for terrorist attacks. There is no doubt that the passions inflamed by Israel’s strikes in Lebanon — and particularly the way these are being reported — raises the temperature to boiling point and provides the Islamofascist’s with a further pretext for terror. As the British Prime Minister Tony Blair bluntly put it, ‘When people stand up and fight, people will come after you’.
But the belief that there would be no threat to Britain or America without this support is demonstrably false. Way back in 1994, Massoud Shadjareh who runs the jovially named Islamic Human Rights Commission the most conspicuous promoter of Khomeini jihadism in the UK, spoke on a platform in Trafalgar Square draped with a banner which read: ‘Death To The Enemies Of Islam’. The IHRC is said to be close to Iran and its understanding of human rights is to extol Hezbollah, endorse an eclectic assortment of jihadis and promote the end of Israel.
In a briefing on the Lebanon crisis, the IHRC has said that British Muslims can provide Hezbollah with ‘financial, logistical and informational support’ to attack Israeli installations, and calls for the ‘temporary’ occupation of Israel and ‘regime change’ by Hezbollah on ‘self-defence’ grounds.
Until September 11, 2001, Hezbollah was responsible for more American deaths than any other terrorist organisation. It is known or suspected to have been involved in the suicide truck bombings of the U.S. Embassy and U.S. Marine Corps barracks in Beirut in 1983, the bombing of the U.S. Embassy annexe in Beirut in 1984 and the 1985 hijacking of TWA Flight 847 en route from Athens to Rome. And it is said by various intelligence agencies to have kidnapped over 30 Westerners between 1982 and 1992.
In 1992 a human bomb attack destroyed the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires. In 1994 in the same city, a car bomb attack on a Jewish community building was the largest single incident of terrorism against Jews since World War II. Eight days later, the Israeli Embassy in London was car-bombed by two Palestinians linked to Hezbollah.
And now Iran has explicitly singled out Britain as a target for attack — not because of Lebanon or any recent event, but because of the British Balfour Declaration in 1917, which led eventually to the restoration of the Jews to part of their ancient homeland in the State of Israel.
In an Iranian TV interview on July 23, Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed that ‘England was the founder of this sinister regime’ (Israel) and, like America, was ‘an accomplice to all its crimes’.
This ignores the fact that Britain actually reneged on its promise to found a Jewish national home in mandatory Palestine, sided with the Nazi-supporting Arabs and eventually abstained in the UN vote on establishing Israel. The country that actually swung it for the Jews happened to be the Soviet Union — so the proper target of Ahmadinejad’s grievance should surely be his current patron, Vladimir Putin.
Hezbollah’s commander Hassan Nasrallah leads an Iranian jihadi army that exports terror round the world. And just as it did with the rival jihadists of al Qaeda, Britain — a prime target of Iranian terror — is once again allowing itself to become a theatre of the Iranian jihad and a weak link in the chain of resistance against it.
In Britain, there are thought to be relatively few Khomeinists compared with Sunni terrorists. But there are enough to form a serious potential security threat if Iran decides to unleash Hezbollah against targets in the UK. And that is now a real possibility.
According to German and Israeli intelligence sources, Hezbollah sleeper cells are present in more than 20 countries in Western Europe, Latin America and southeast Asia, and have been told to be ready to carry out terrorist attacks should Israel prolong its military action in Lebanon. The Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett stated in the House of Commons recently that ‘there are indeed concerns’ about Iran-backed terrorists attacking the UK.
It will be of some concern to those in the U.K. if it is indeed Hezbollah and thus Iran that is behind these events currently taking place in Britain and would demonstrate that his terrorist group is not a bunch of amateur players.

Your London mates are going to have a shitter of a flight out of Heathrow, if they make it. I’d suggest they line up now at Terminal 3 if they want to make the weekend flights! Its a madhouse in there.
BBC said this avo that 10 planes heading towards the US would of been affected by these liquid explosives… bloody scary!

And so predictably timed (yawn!!) for the US Mid-term elections (expect more of this fear-mongering in the build-up to the Mid-terms – ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ and I am in agreement on this tactic) to say nothing of further increased revenue (i.e. tax) – collection by Airport Authorities (and many others) – everywhere, and finally the irrevocable incursion into individual civil liberties continues apace.
This impacts on consumers of international travel services and US voters mainly.

Uggh, I’m just happy that I decided to stay up in Seattle this weekend rather than flying on Friday night. This is going to make any travel in/around the States fun-fun-fun for a while.
As Schneier says, we’ll all be flying naked within a few years.
