Auckland all week

September 26th, 2006 at 11:09 am by David Farrar

I’m flying to Auckland early this pm and up there until Friday. For once I’ve actually got some spare time while up there so hope to catch up with a few people on Wednesday especially.

For someone who has vowed to never live in Auckland, I’d hate to add up how many days a year I actually spend up there!

I’m trying to rustle up the Sir Humphreys boys for farewell drinks before I leave NZ.
I’d be delighted if you would be guest of honour and I’m sure SH would too.
Adolf has a preference for Wednesday, which probably means that English pub in K Rd opposite the sex shops around 5pm.

    Yes, well actually……………..!!!!!!!!

It’s the Tetleys you see and what better navigation beacons could you ask for than the sex shops in K Road?

See you all there, shortly after five.

Phil. Good to see you again. And a pleasure to meet some of the allies and enemy ‘in the flesh’ so to speak. It’s always a good thing to meet the enemy and realise that when you cut them they bleed the same colour as you do.

Best of luck in Oz Darren. Didn’r really gat a chance to say hello properly to DaveW. Managed to transport DPF to his next soiree almost on time.

A very pleasant hour or so, I must say.

(chloro)Phil, What on earth were you planning for the evening that you needed “protection”? On second thoughts no need to answer that.

Good to meet you, sorry I couldn’t stay longer.

Likewise Adolf, I get the feeling that we share a lot in background as well as philosophy.

Hope all goes well for you in Perth Darren

Keep it up DPF, and you can take that whatever way you wish.

Thanks to everyone who turned up, especially to David F who is obviously such a busy lad.
I trust you enjoyed meeting everyone.

It was also great to see Adolf and Gooner again, plus Phil.

Thanks also to my good mate Rob O’Neil from NZBC. Fancy bumping into you in a bar just down the road and you later joining the gathering.

And David W, it is also wonderful to see a newcomer at such gatherings.

To those who missed it, I am sure Adolf or Gooner will organise something another time.

And what Auckland lacks in numbers at such gatherings compared to Wellington, at least we make up for it in quality and being able to spend time with everyone.

Anyway, I better make a start on packing the suitcase for next week. And if anyone is in Perth, please contact me.
