The tale of two pledge cards

A fascinating phenonema on Trade Me. There are two Labour Party pledge cards up for auction.

The first is being sold by the Labour Party itself. It specifically asks people to bid as much as it was worth for them.

The result – one bid of $20.

Then we have an auction of the exact same card. However this one is being sold to help fund the Darnton v Clark lawsuit and reminds people that as they have already paid for it once, why not pay for it again.

There have been 66 bids, with the auction now at $425.

The public have spoken!

By the way do you check out the questions and answers on the Darnton v Clark auction. There’s almost 100, and many of them are very very funny.
