It wasn’t Cricket

Brendon McCullum’s dismissal of Muttiah Muralitharan while Muralitharan was congratulating Kumar Sanagkkara for scoring a century was just as wrong as Australia’s under-arm bowling incident in 1981. Both technically within the rules, yet both having nothing to do with winning a game on ability, and very much against the spirit of the game.

The NZ Herald hopes it won’t happen again, and i agree.

Cactus Kate disagrees. And while I don’t agree with her, there is some merit in her argument that as Muralitharan has taken 664 illegal wickets in his career, he was a good person to do it to!
