The NZ Herald has polled people on the worst insults of the year. Helen Clark came second with her unprecedented personal attack on Don Brash as “cancerous”.
In top place was Michael Laws for calling the dead Tongan King a “brown slug” (the Herald for some reason has removed references to the brown part of the epitah). He got 24% and Clark 22%.
Third place was Sir Bob Jones for claiming Anette Presley had driven more men to homosexuality than any other living person.Tags: New Zealand
