There are some very cruel and deceitful families out there. A family I heard of this week were not only suffering false accusations of rape against an innocent man, but his wife had been evily and falsely accused of leaving photos and quotes in a mentally ill woman’s letter box.
There are some sick and perverted families out there who do not care who’s lives they destroy for their personal gain.
Please protect the vulnerable like Jayden as they trust their families and will be lied to and stabbed in the back by those after personal gain.
How do you forgive the cruel adults who do similar things to beautiful children, may God forgive them all.

On the news tonight it said brochures containing the names and addresses of Jayden’s maternal relatives have been posted around their neighbourhoods.
I think this is disgusting as it threatens the lives of the innocent members of the family who are bystanders to this mess.
Noone disputes that Jayden’s grandfather is a sick man or that his mother has acted reprehensibly and they should be named and shamed so they are held accountable and responsible for the damage they have done to this poor young boy.
Please, though if anyone knows who is doing this be careful as certain members of this family are not involved and do not deserve to be hurt like this.
Those that have stood aside and let this happen are as guilty as those that have perpetrated the crime, but cowards always show their true colours eventually.
Jayden’s mother has chosen the value of one loved one over the other and that is unwise and has caused a nasty estrangement that won’t heal.

This seems to be the way justice is run in this country. Race, gender, wealth and social status, those with physical and mental disabilities are afforded more rights than Joe Bloggs average the while middle class citizens of new Zealand.
The average hard working person has their taxes paying for the poor decisions made by those at the top with little chance for any input ourselves.

Jayden is the true victim in all this and I am sure he will be a scarred child. The mother must be so twisted.

But isn’t it curious how quickly the police and courts worked to chuck Jayden’s mother in prison for contempt of court, but the Kahui whanau, implicated for double murder, have been handled with PC kid gloves and are all free citizens? I don’t agree with how Jayden’s maternal side have behaved but the reason for the imprisonment is so disproportinate when compared to the double murder of the Kahui twins by one or more family members all with blood on their hands either directly or indirectly.

Jayden will remember this and in the not too distant future he will see through the lies and the hatred towards his Dad.
Children are not stupid and they know when adults are using them for their own gain.
This mother and grandfather are not showing love. If you love someone you do not destroy their security and future.
What if Jayden’s Dad died tomorrow without ever reconciling with his Dad how cruel would that be?
Love is not about empty words and the selfish need to be right at all costs. Love is shown in actions and this family are not showing love at all.

I agree with you Paula that no-one likes to see a child hurt. The paternal grandfather and mother are not actually manipulating the law – they’re breaking it.

I think people care because a young child is involved and noone likes to see children hurt, and used in this manner.
I also think it is upsetting people that this boy’s grandad and mum are manipulating the law for their own gain.
This young boy has had his faith and trust shattered by those he loves and that is something you can not replace.

Ross – found the comment I think you are referring to. Technically it’s second hand although the police response; “police were reliant on the public coming forward with information about Jayden’s whereabouts” is not encouraging.

And it is fair to question how someone can disappear for five months in a relatively small country.

GPT, it is not only d4j who believe that the family court is bias. It is a sad fact that many organisations are bias against men when it comes to children.

Men are not allowed to sit next to an unaccompanied child on an aircraft because some perceived risk to a child. We read in the Herald today that a woman with her 7 year old daughter in the car had to be forced off the road because of her erratic driving. She refused surrender her keys but let a strange woman take her daughter. She crashed her car shortly after. The woman is currently on a drug rehabilitation programme.

The girl had been reunited with her mother and police had no plans to involve Child, Youth and Family.

“We’ve got no concerns for the child’s safety. It’s just this woman on this day, her manner of driving,” he said.

Father’s are denied access on the flimsiest evidence that the child is at risk. There is reasonable likelihood that this woman could put her daughter at risk again.

also check out menz.org.nz to see the kiwi male (and increasingly level headed womens’ perspective) of where its going wrong in NZ and most other western societies.

Pls dont get me wrong though as I do not advocate a return to the patriarchial familes of old but lets not dress up gender equality as a covert method of smashing men and family’s to bits for the sake of gender power.

At the risk of encouraging another diatribe over the perceived failings of the family court how exactly should the court *better* enforce its orders? At the end of the day the grandfather has kidnapped Jayden – under the law that’s the same level (or lack therein) of protection anybody has.

Excuse me GPT, my writing was not a hijack attempt of the thread, as I was merely trying to highlight the total incompetence of the family court to enforce orders. It took the Magna Carta to get mum locked up and now the maternal granddad ( who is guilty of child abduction and should be prison bound ), wants the boy to be seen by CYFS. I believe the damage to child through wrongful adult behaviour (PAS) had already reared it’s ugly head in this case. If one takes into account the hand-written letter From Jayden to his father;
“ I like you Chris but I only want to see you at the (Salvation Army ) nest, you are nice to me there . I love my Mum and want to live with Mum and Brett, Please let me.”

Yet the dysfunctional and meaningless family court awarded custody to Chris ( the real dad ) ?

GPT you say you only want the child returned asap , yeah right, Which parent do you think the young lad should return too?
