The fight for Vector

Fran O’Sullivan covers the issues around the fight for ownership of Vector, with local Councils lobbying the Government to remove it from the majority ownership of Auckland Energy Consumer Trust.

The recent resignation of three highly regarded Directors from Vector highlights the problems which can arise with elected politicians having majority ownership of a commercial company. I fail to see how increasing the number of politicians owning Vector will help it.
