How did that happen

Had an InternetNZ meeting in Auckland last night. Before I went in I haerd NZ were 44/4 so it looked all over, especially considering a of 346.

Got back to the hotel at 11 pm or so and on MSN everyone is talking about the game. I am puzzled as there is no way one can recover from 44/4 and beat a target of 346. we were looking to struggle to make 100.

But had highlights and indeed we did make 350 to win the game. Amazing. Some stats from Cricinfo:

* New Zealand's total of 350 for 9 is the second-highest in a successful run-chase after South Africa's 438 for 9 in Johannesburg.

* Craig McMillan's 67-ball century is the fastest by a New Zealander in ODIs

* The 26 sixes blasted in this match – 16 by and 10 by New Zealand – equals the record for most number of sixes in a game.

* The 165-run stand between Craig McMillan and is the joint highest for the sixth wicket in one-day internationals.

I am so loving cricket at the moment. Winning helps!
