Labour and the Maori Party

Some in Labour keep painting the Maori Party as a right wing party because they don’t follow holy socialist doctrine the whole time. God forbid should a Maori MP attack welfare dependency and they scream ‘I told you they were right wingers”.

A much better analysis comes from Labour’s Michael Wood. He looks at the Maori Party and the opportunities they provide for Labour.

There the odd segment where it is tosh (“cavort with a cabal of people who represent the interests of the wealthy and powerful, and whose record is of throwing the working people of New Zealand onto the socio-economic scrapheap”) but overall it is more dispassionate and insightful.

If one could just get Michael to stop using the made up term neo-liberal, it would be a B+
