HoS apologies to Sharon Shipton

The HoS has apologised to Sharon Shipton for their story last weekend about her leaving Brad Shipton.

The substance of the story may or may not be correct (I suspect it is) but the HoS story used the phrase “Mrs Shipton told the Herald on Sunday” when in fact they got their info from a family friend asserting she spoke on behalf of Sharon Shipton.

I would have thought it was a no brainer that you only claim to have spoken to someone when you have in fact spoken to them.

This is that fine woman called Sharon Shipton we are talking about here.

She is married to that fine example of humanity, New Zealander of the year – Big Bad Sad Brad.

She did NOT lie under oath when she said they were in Wanganui to protect Sad Brad.

Yeah riiiight!
