An interesting Islamic ruling

May 31st, 2007 at 8:03 pm by David Farrar

An Islamic scholar in Cairo has got into trouble for his novel solution to the problem of the prohibition in Islamic religious law against a woman working in private premises with a man who is not her close relative.

His solution was to have the women in a shared office start breastfeeding the men, which would “transform the bestial relationship between two people into a religious relationship based on [religious] duties” as in Islamic tradition, breastfeeding establishes a degree of familial relationship even if there is no biological relationship.

And if you do get the office women to breast feed you, they are then allowed to remove their head cover in your presence.

I can’t quite see it catching on, I have to say!

No problem. Provided the woman milks the males as well.

This presumes that the woman is in milk. Otherwise it is just a nipple suck. Hey, I am willing to give it a go in the interests of cross-cultural understanding. We do have a hot hot hot woman who is a Muslim at my work.

    Jeez you guys are sick.

The moslem women at my local supermarket are so ugly that I am sure if you suckled on them all you would get is vinegar.

As I used to work in Parliament, I’d have to say I’m not that keen on this policy. think about it!!

A former job was at an advertising agency – would be a far more tolerable policy there.

This gets my vote for the worst idea of 2007. Bloody funny though. Love the idea that only after baring her breasts and letting you suckle on them does she get permission to remove the burkha. It’d be offensive any other way.

I thought this was the money quote –

“The breastfeeding fatwa moved even some conservative Muslims to attempt to draw a line between ancient tradition and modern life.
Dr Sayyid Askar of the Muslim Brotherhood said the hadith regarding Salem was authentic but irrelevant.
“In our modern society it makes no sense to talk of breastfeeding adults.””

Does everyone else see the irony?

I read more of the learned scholar’s idea and apparently the familial relationship between a woman and a strange man can be established if he suckles not just at her breast, but that of her mother or sisters.

Move over the European Enlightenment, Islam is way ahead of you!

Why does Islam spend so much time devoted to the minutiae of female sexual function? To me,this looks like perversion.Click onto any of the “ask the Imam” sites and you will see evidence of subversion, confusion and delusion.
Please keep this crap out of this Country.
