David Bain gets a retrial

The Privy Council in one of its final decisions for NZ has granted quintuple murderer David Bain a new trial. It doesn’t mean he is innocent but Joe Karam and of course David Bain will be happy men.

The Privy Council has said the case had unusual circumstances and it may have constituted a substantial miscarriage of justice so they have quashed his convictions for murdering his parents, sisters, and brother in 1994.

I still think he is guilty on the evidence, but I am not a Law Lord 🙂
