An anti EFB You Tube

Someone emailed me the link to this new You Tube video on Labour’s free speech record. Covers the attempted billboard ban in Auckland, the kicking out of journalists when the Chinese Givernment asks, the restrictions on what charities can say to remain tax free, the parliamentary ban on satirical use of parliamentary photos or footage, and then finally the draconian Electoral Finance Bill.

There’s a great cameo of Gerry Brownlee as Eric Cartman from Southpark singing a popular song from the Southpark movie (the one about Kyle’s mum).

The last couple of seconds will lead to Godwin’s Law being cited. And while personally I wouldn’t do that comparison, it is not unexpected when you have such a massively wide reaching bill with huge implications on free speech where even an e-mail to a friend criticising the Government would need a statutory declaration filed.
