Coddington on Groser

Deborah Coddington has a good article on the allegations against Tim Groser by his ex wife, stating:
Isn’t it becoming a trifle tiresome the way the media get into lathers over the slightest misdemeanour committed by public figures?
She later turns the column into MPs looking fashionable and wanting compulsory boxers for male MPs. At one points she explains:
In Parliament I saw braless MPs walking around preceded by what looked like two ferrets fighting in a sack
Heh wonderful turn of phrase.

The Goser allegations look spiteful which is never a good look. He is probably well rid of her. But Goser still needs to get his private life tidy if he is take on high office.

A wonderful turn of phrase that is in fact something of a cliched expression – even if Mr Farrar has not heard it before.

I think lovely legs meant to say she saw two brainless MP’s and the ferrets were causing havoc in the parliament pc hen house ? Burn the bra – right on – eh Sue & Co.

“Isn’t it becoming a trifle tiresome the way the media get into lathers over the slightest misdemeanour committed by public figures?”
Heh!!! She’s WAY too early out of the box. In the event of a National govt being elected to power this “talking point” should have been embargoed for at least three months afterwards.
She’s getting the ammo wet.

Sean – you’re a cynical blog-trawler for such a sunny Sunday morning!
From what DPF has written here, I can’t assume that he has never heard that phrase before, only that it has amused him (picturing in his mind’s eye what DC described seeing).
Have a good day!
[DPF: Actually I don't think I have heard that particular phrasing before. What amused me is having an ex MP use it to refer to other MPs. I did also wonder which MPs she was referring to, but I don't have the mental strength to handle picturing all the female MPs in my head]

Does anyone know who she is referring to with the comment?
“No sin either, in encouraging investors to lose their money into dodgy tax-avoidance schemes”

But who might these MP’s have been? Parekura Horomia? Gerry Brownlee?

“In Parliament I saw braless MPs walking around preceded by what looked like two ferrets fighting in a sack”
Sounds like either Brownlee or Parekura.

Does she mean the media getting into a dither about things like her claims against Roger Kerr? Or is then important because it was the Great Airhead herself?
