The impressive thing was the host stuck to the script and managed to avoid asking wtf she was on (about).

Well “They’re all stupid, jingoistic morons who confuse chanting ‘USA, USA’ at Nascar with patriotism, and what few braincells they were born with have been eroded by fried chicken and Oprah”, while technically accurate, wouldn’t have won her many points either.

Her answer actually answered the question, even if not by careful explanation. She made it clear why many Americans cannot point out America on a map.
I wonder if the people in the audience who clapped can point America out?
