Yates gone by Xmas

Just spotted that Labour List MP Di Yates has announced she will leave Parliament by the end of the year and is going to run for the Hamilton City Council. I had to laugh at this sentence:
She told the Waikato Times she had not been pushed by Prime Minister Helen Clark, who had been “surprised” by her decision.
I suspect the Prime Minister was as surprised by this decision as an Eskimo is surprised by cold weather.
Louisa Wall will become an MP by the end of the year to replace Yates. The next on the list after that is Su’a William Sio who may be the Labour candidate for Mangere to replace Field.

The putrifying thing about MMP is that you dont have to have a bi-election when an MP leaves

Porcupine
Louisa is an out and proud lesbian. Who said anything about a bi?

Oh great, another dyke to join the cauldron of liarbore witches !!

Di Yates – who ?
Never heard of her.

That’ll hurt the caucus, she was almost as good as JT.
Thanks for the laugh Cactus, law of unintended circumstances though, you woke D4J…I thought he’d calmed down after his relatively amusing but at times rascist vent in the sub prime comments

Louisa is very much a free-thinker, and more of a Maori advocate than anything particularly of sexuality.
I predict a massive falling out with the liarbore witches in the future. She’s not very good at being told what to do or sticking to a disciplined regime. These being the 2 essential ingredients of membership of the sisterhood.
Should be good to watch.

I remember Dianne Yates when i worked at the Waiakto Times in the mid-90s.
She was widely seen a barking mad.
She was upset that some of the new suburbs springing up on the north-east were named after parts of England.
She even wanted Hamilton renamed Kirikiroa.

Yet she’s going for HCC?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Adof Powell: How has Labour possibly managed to remain on the treasury benches the last 9 years, with insightful political analysis and wit such as yours arrayed against them?

What a tragedy for dogs. Who, now, will advocate for them to keep their tails?
August 13th, 2007 at 7:41 am
I’m sure sue Kedgley will be happy to take that up – perhaps she could combine it with a compulsory vegan diet for dogs and cats lottery (why are we ruled by lottery?)
Oh just what we need another white wellington liberal telling my whanau what to think.

Helen Clark was probably surprised it has taken the useless old bat this long to get the message.

Psycho Milt ; once the public know all about the skullduggery of Helen Klark’s regime I can guarantee the Labour Party, as we know it now, will be obiliterated and be known as the most corrupt bunch of unscrupulous fools to ever hold pubic office . What a disgrace Miss Klark !!!

It must be pruning season – Clark is thinning the deadwood. This correspondent would be even happier if Jill (The Fishwife) Pettis were to make a similar announcement. She won’t win the Whanganui electorate back from Chester Borrows, and is the deadest of dead wood as a list MP. She does qualify for a Foghorn Award though!
August 13th, 2007 at 8:22 am
Jill Pettis would have the record for the most number of “Patsy” questions asked in the House. The going gets tough bring on Jill.

Dianne Yate’s horrible screeching will echo for years to come I fear. I saw her at a women’s expo, at the labour party stall. She peered up at me, and gave me the most evil of scowls. Possibly because I am not a woman.
She’s a good example of fairplay, respect, and ethics as espoused by this government. She refused to congratulate David Bennet for beating her in her electorate, rather she sulked, threw insults and pouted, complaining to the newspaper about how the new MP was a dirty dealer.
Good riddance to this horrid screeching wizened ginger gnome.

“once the public know all about the skullduggery of Helen Klark’s regime I can guarantee the Labour Party, as we know it now, will be obiliterated…”
Can I quote you on that? No, skip the question mark – rest assured I will quote you on that, regularly…
August 13th, 2007 at 10:29 am
“obiliterated” – to disappear in an explosion of invoices?
August 13th, 2007 at 11:12 am
“obliterated”- to vaporise in a whitewash tanker accident!
August 13th, 2007 at 12:13 pm
I think you’re being very unfair D4J. Its is not resonable to compare witches with the Labour Party MP’s!
Someone had to speak up for the witches.

Hmmm… interesting.
One notes that the right consistently goes on about the virtues of hard work. We’ve heard these slogans all before : “My taxes pay for your….”
However, I’m sure many of those who post on here, (excluding DPF of course) should probably be working rather than surfing. I mean otherwise, aren’t just lowering productivity? Oh – yes thats right – productivity is irrelevant in your case…
[Before you accuse me of the same, I am actually a student and I am up to date with my study atm]
