NZ First has established a youth branch.

It will be open to any party member under the age of 75.

HaHa! Winston’s stomping ground was Tauranga with it’s large retired population. I noticed how many old people were among his party’s audience on television this weekend.

Whaleoil’s nailed it! From the footage I saw of the NZ First conference, pretty much everyone there was either bald or in dire need of Greecian 2000! NZ First’s “old age” is its achilles heel.

I had a friend who for a while spouted the desire to be the president of the youth wing of NZ First, and he himself started up a youth wing at Auckland university. It was good for political breadth but only like four people signed up – all of which were related to him in some way. Obviously it didn’t work, was embarrassing and failed miserably. He’s never lived it down.

Ironically, I think he ended up joining the Young Nats. Personally, its all about desiring public and political attention. But I welcome the opportunity for someone in Rotorua to make a stand for young people. Um, yeah, good luck with that.

NZ First does not represent young people. And it never will. Its that simple.

Quite right – and it will be some time before the youth of New Zealand will benefit from Winston’s magnificent legacy – the Super Gold Card – won’t it?

Here is the funny part. The founder of the Winston Jugend himself is too old to join the group. I suggest they get some nice brown shirts to wear.

Inventory2: yes that is definitely true. More so for the rest of us who will actually have to wait until the Gold Card is anything more than political rhetoric.

And what I found extremely ironic is that a 26-year-old started up a group for people aged 18-25. Is he stupid?

I’m sorry Whaleoil but you are wrong in your statment that the Poodle’s party support will die off. In fact the population of elderly is growing in NZ at a rapid rate. Not sure how old you are but in 20 to 30 years time you may be in the NZst youth wing. So you better hope the gold card has come right, you may need it.

You might have to ammend that bud,,

no home baking to be shared in public places,, or does NZF have a veto over council laws.

btw, why are bakeries still permitted to sell to the public??

Be curious to know if the council who passed this by law were were Lab majority or Nat

LMAO!! I love the comments! facsinates me!

For those of us who understand social change – social policy: there is a new trend in politics called the ‘third way’. This means that the traditional left and right wing of politics is slowly dimishing, which is good for centralist party’s like NZ First!! hey wow!! The only problem is Labour and National are racing to take the central party turf. What ever happened to left and right? like I said… it’s dimishing and like all optimistic young people these days… no-one really gives a toss about left and right. ‘Third Way’ is about taking what’s good from the right and what’s good from the left.

Young NZ First is here to stay (just has Mr Peters – as he’s returned to parliament for the last 14 yrs having set-up NZ First – the oldest minority party in NZ history) … a good track record, indeed. And the only minority party who’s had the most policies implemented. That’s right – talk is cheap, which is why some of the comments I read above makes me laugh.

National had a baby… and it was call NZ First…

And it just so happens that the Leader of NZ Frirst was a young Nat before leaving lmao…
