Wow. They really ARE watching.
Perhaps the system is indeed out to get you D4J.
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 2:05 pm
IMO everyone else is just blogging from work and it’s nothing to do with public opinion research.

perhaps H1 and H2 formulate all policy based on the kiwiblog “mood”!

nih is right of course.
have to say dpf – highlighting who your posters are, especailly the personal references to some (and you’ve passed that info on to others it seems) goes against internet ettiquite and there is a danger of it having a chilling effect.
If you want people to feel free to make contributions in their personal capacity, which is what makes this blog as popular as it is, you must stop trying to put the fear of the blog-god into them.
[DPF: Sam go get a life you idiot. That is a list of page views, not comments, and it is public info. I've been posting these lists every month for four years. It also doesn't identify any individual - just sites.]

Mmmm.. how much of the Otago Uni headcount is Phillip John/Roger Nome responsible for, I wonder?
DPF: have you considered that naming workplaces might cause an internal inquiry into inappropriate internet usage?
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 4:55 pm
Wait, is this you D4J?
What do the numbers represent, DPF? Unique visits, or number of IPs that reoccur?
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 5:15 pm
Nih:
I think it’s recurring IP visits.
But you bring an interesting point to mind: how many “unique visits” does Kiwiblog receive from D4J each day? And does each of his “unique identities” get counted?
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 5:20 pm
I suspect all the computers at the library would share the same address. Perhaps he sits on four of them, barking and chasing off anyone who wants to use them to find books.
Unfortunately that kills off my basement-dweller theory whilst at the same time adding a hobo-like quality to my mental image of him.
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 5:27 pm
D4J didn’t respect his last 2-month Kiwiblog ban – and posted under various aliases. DPF confirmed this. So I guess “unique visits” can only be taken so far as a concept.
A workplace presumably has a unique IP address, which picks up anyone accessing Kiwiblog through it, so two Kiwibloggers at the Ministry of Truth will be counted together.
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 5:33 pm
If any workplace is so petty as to have an inquiry into who has been “reading” blogs at their workplace, then that is their problem. They of course can and probably are monitoring traffic at their end anyway.

You’d really have to be familiar with the network of the offices in question to even begin to make that statement.
I’d like to know how he identifies them. Do they have their own reversals?

You’ll know you’ve hit the big time when you get blocked along with Trademe and NZDating.

DPF’s posting policy:
D4J is the repeat offender here. He’s the only one who’s copped a two-month ban.
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 7:36 pm
And I am proud peak nutbar
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 7:39 pm
D4J:
I wouldn’t be spraying around “nutbar” labels if I were you. You clearly have a monopoly on them.
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 7:41 pm
Peak I know David Farrar and I think we understand each other . I respected my two month ban .Has a reptilian creature like yourself and your swamp thing mates had the pleasure of meeting with David ?
No doubt one of you brain dead socialist swamp things will cut and paste and attack again , yawn , yawn , sonic can’t you see they’re great for National these new yellow backs ??
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 7:43 pm
So D4J – shall I bring out the thread where David Farrar said it was “almost certainly” you posting under another alias, despite being banned?
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 7:44 pm
lol peak,, lol, lol
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 7:46 pm
nutbar squirrel,,
“Who would do that?”
Vote:October 6th, 2007 at 7:48 pm
d4j – if you want to achieve anything in this world you need allies. going it alone simply doesn’t work. some people will never be allies… you and sonic? … nope! others are ‘possibles’. so calling everyone who says something that irritates you ‘a f##kwit’ will ensure the domain of possible allies is close to zero. your choice mate!
