Span retires

Span has announced she is retiring from blogging.

I’ve always enjoyed Span’s posts because they tend to be thoughtful, relevant and free of malice. Obviously the number of issues we agreed on was few, but I listed her in my list of top NZ political blogs which I put together for a UK publication a couple of months ago.

Span also did useful community stuff like take over the monthly stats for me.

It would be an interesting exercise to chart the average lifetime of a NZ political blog.  Sites like NZ Pundit and About Town which I thought would last for ages, have both departed.
