Bail hearing for Mallard

My views on Trevor Mallard's behaviour are well known but I think it is preposterous, and the private prosecution starts to look considerably vindictive, when bail is oppossed.

I previously blogged that I didn't support the private prosecution, and just reaffirms my concerns.

It is obvious to everyone that in no way does Mallard (even if guilty of assault) not qualify for .  There is a 0.0000000001% chance he will not get bail. It is being done just to humiliate him by forcing him to argue why he is not a flight risk/risk to the community etc. Now some may say – sure but that's a good thing.  My response is – not by abusing the and judicial process.
