Robertson wins Wellington Central nomination

According to The Standard, Charles Chauvel has withdrawn his nomination for Wellington Central, effectively giving Grant Robertson the nomination.

It’s a logical move for Chauvel, after the negative publicity from the 9th floor over the reshuffle. Someone there was obviously seriously leaking against him.

It’s a pity though in the sense there won’t be a healthy competition for a fairly safe seat. But  congratulations to Grant Robertson for his “victory”, and hopefully Grant will keep his blog going, even after he is confirmed.
