Yeah. Look at the people supporting the bill on there. They have no clue at all.

  2. Insolent Prick (417) Says:

Ummm, I might have it wrong, but it does look as if the comments relate to a range of Herald stories over the last few weeks, rather than just today. The link appears to relate only to today’s story, but a couple of references to “yesterday’s march in Wellington” suggest that the reader feedback goes back somewhat longer.

  3. Seamonkey Madness (325) Says:

Not wanting to really point it out, but it looks as if some comments are from a few weeks ago.

“In my office in Wellington I just saw 200 people march by holding placards”.

    *cough*

Still, it’s 156 pages of comments about the EFB. Am guessing its the two editorial comments sections added together?

  4. Seamonkey Madness (325) Says:

    Damn you Prick! ;)

  5. Insolent Prick (417) Says:

It is easy to get the impression that the comments relate only to today’s article. It’s a bit messy on the Herald’s part.

  6. dc (117) Says:

Yes it is all the “speak your brains” comments from right back to the first Herald editorial.

Yes it is, they do it all the time. When a new article is released they rename the comments section about the topic accordingly which makes it look like its about that article, when in fact its about that topic and has been open since the first news article. Very messy.

  8. dave (918) Says:

    yep that 67,650 words.

  9. sonic (2,818) Says:

Another own Goal. Have the National party been running training sessions on how to shoot yourself in the foot David?

  10. Kent Parker (336) Says:

    Very messy.

Slightly devious methinks, given this is a platform the Herald has decided to grandstand on.

  11. Kimble (3,019) Says:

It may be lead to confusion, but related topic forum merging isnt unethical, unprincipled, or unheard of.

  12. Insolent Prick (417) Says:

    Sonic:

Given that it’s those of us on the Right who have called the Herald out for giving the impression that the comments relate only to the present story, you can hardly assert that DPF’s shot himself in the foot.

It’s very easy to get the impression that the comments relate only to the present story. Hardly an own-goal, Sonic.

  13. sonic (2,818) Says:

    Just a mistake then IP?

Whats wrong with me calling the Nats on the hilarious sequence of bumbles your side is making at the moment.

I’m starting to worry that you are so happy being in opposition that your are trying to lose the next election!

  14. Insolent Prick (417) Says:

    Sonic:

An average of a thirteen point lead in the polls by National over Labour would tend to suggest that National’s not bumbling.

    Get that, Sonic? THIRTEEN PERCENT!

  15. Bevan (3,661) Says:

No Kent, they do it for every topic, from the Rugby World Cup through to the EFB. Nothing devious going on, they are consistant with this method for all their ‘Have your say’ topics.

  16. sonic (2,818) Says:

Yes thats right IP, the next election is in the bag for the Nats.

    So why the hysteria?

I think we should be told.

  17. Bevan (3,661) Says:

Whats wrong with me calling the Nats on the hilarious sequence of bumbles your side is making at the moment.

Yet you seem to ignore anything that has gone wrong under Labour’s watch.

Attack the man, not the message eh Tane? And here I thought you would be peeved that a baby has died, not that someone dared to ask why? Or to ask who is accountable?

  21. Seamonkey Madness (325) Says:

    Tane,

Please pass on to Robinsod that his sense of satire is missing.
