I wonder if you should also do a count of who holds the monthly record for erroneous or factually questionable posts per month – I have an idea who it might be – clue anagram = eger moron!
Also a league table of trolling frequency by person , and of course who has gained the most demerit points per month?
Nail ‘em up, say!

Lee:
Ok, I’m going out on a limb here. The wittiest comment of the month, even at this early stage, is *drum roll* eger moron.

I forgot to mention – witty because it’s a piss-take on “eager moron”.

Thats why he doesn’t have a ‘d’ in his name. If he was he couldn’t be a eger moron.
DPF – Robinsod aka Micheal Porton reckons the VDS has taken over KB as NZ’s most popular blog. Any comment?

“DPF – Robinsod aka Micheal Porton reckons the VDS has taken over KB as NZ’s most popular blog. Any comment?”
I think it just illustrates the tendency of some to believe that if they say something often enough (or in this case, once), it will be accepted as truth regardless of the facts.

Chicken, Lee, stop making stuff up.
Robinsod never said The Standard was now NZ’s most popular blog, he simply disagreed with a statement on the Wikipedia page that suggested KB got three to four times more comments than any other NZ blog.

It’s not my place to argue the accuracy or otherwise of Robinsod’s comments, but I felt I should set the record straight seeing as he is unable to respond here due to his ban.

Tane:
You make a fair point. I was actually intrigued that Robinsod would make such a claim, especially at such an early stage in The Standard’s life, so went looking for his comment. Now I’m back, and in the meantime you’ve clarified the context.
By the way, that’s one hell of a weird thread you’ve linked to.

Yeah, it was a Friday afternoon and we were talking about a picture of a dead seal. Then Dad4Justice showed up. What more can I say?
December 10th, 2007 at 6:59 am
I take it the team at the VDS couldn’t locate any pictures of dead ducks….
December 10th, 2007 at 7:17 am
ps sorry if it looked like I was ‘making stuff up’.
December 10th, 2007 at 7:22 am
Ok Tane I’m sorry – I stand corrected. I apoligise, I feel remorse, I am contrite, regretful, repentant and shamefaced.
There that wasn’t to hard was it?
I did misread Robinsod comment slightly, but its my fault, I have not had bad advice from my officials. Its just that Robinsod normally writes such crap that you tend to skim over it. I shall take more time in the future.
Is he banned from here? Why?
[DPF: He repeatedly called me a liar with no evidence. He kept insisting that the Free Speech Coalition had more donors than those we had listed on the webpage. This is and was false]

The “dead seal picture” story must rate right up there with the Mundane’s biggest beat-ups. When opponents of Key troll through internet sites to find supposedly “incriminating” images, it makes it far easier to believe the reports of men in suits searching through rubbish bins in a Parnell street.
December 10th, 2007 at 8:35 am
I don’t visit the VDS any more, so let me guess the headline:
Key advocates culling puppy seals’? perhaps.
No, ‘Key in copyright wrangle with ‘Seal’?
No, ‘Key’s latest initiative get ‘Seal of Approval’ from shady big business (not union) backers’?
Oh I give up. I still ain’t so curious that I’ll go there to look though.
Do I win $10.00?
December 10th, 2007 at 8:36 am
‘Key should apologise the the seals’?
sorry.
December 10th, 2007 at 8:44 am
Maybe it was “Key, the EB’s and a dead seal rort the election”
December 10th, 2007 at 8:59 am
VDS – Clark talks candidly to the Standard:
dead seal photo with caption:
Seal ‘Cullen’ – is hardly a challenge! Next week, we’ll show you how to murder freedom of expression!’

Great stats, can you imagine the state of D4J over the last 36 hours as he viewed James Sleeps comments. I`ll bet the `sleep doll` is full of pins this morning.
