Tim Blair has cancer Add this story to Scoopit!.

Hell.  Tim Blair has just blogged that he is having major abdominal surgery for cancer next week.

I absolutely adore Tim’s blog.  His wit is razor sharp, and I was really disappointed I didn’t get to meet him last year after we were both asked to speak at the CIS Consilium conference, but Tim couldn’t make it.

He has a huge readership internationally, as well as within Australia.  Mark Steyn at NRO’s The Corner talks about Tim with affection.

I, along with many thousands of others, will be hoping for a very successful outcome for Tim’s surgery.

    cancer used to be a one-way icket, now, there are always hopes and modern medicine. Best of luck to him I say, there but for the grace of God….

    Gee, I hope things work out for him. We’re losing too many talented writers – Matt Price was a tragedy, we can’t lose Tim Blair as well!
