Glenn also offered Sir Howard money to stand

Good God – where does this end?

TVNZ tonight reports that Owen Glenn offered Sir Howard Morrison one million dollars to stand for Parliament as an Independent.

For someone who has not lived in the country since 1966, he sure is interested in the politics of it a lot.

I wonder what seat he wanted Sir Howard to stand in? Not Mt Albert I presume?

UPDATE: Peters has told Guyon Espiner that Dail Jones is “completely wrong” and is astonished Jones would make those comments.  Peters is meant to be furious and says Owen Glenn has never ever donated money to NZ First.

This is strange.  Jones is not the one alleging Glenn has donated the money.  And if Glenn did not donate, why did he not just deny it as he did with the Maori Party?
