This week was the 5th anniversary of Kimmel’s show, so she made a special video for him for the show. About how she is f**king Matt Damon, and even has Damon starring in the video with her. It’s very funny, and Damon especially is great.

What I was objecting to in my original comment is the broadcasting of items such as this Silverman piece as if it is some reflection of society as a whole, and in doing so gives it legitimacy.
Silverman’s reference to “f**king Matt Damon” for example. I would never speak about my partner..oops, girlfriend (forgive that slip into gender neutral newspeak) in that way, even in jest, and I’m sure that many of those commenting on this thread wouldn’t either. Yet put it on TV and we’re all supposed to be relaxed and sophisticated about it. People on a diet of junk food often get fat, people on a diet of tasteless, vapid, inane bullshit masquerading as entertainment ? Well, you are what you eat.

Well then, it must be one of those donnish jokes at which only those in the know can chortle. Having deep sixed my tv I am obviously outre’ on the lead up to this one.
So, here am I, flung back on my naive sense of humour,-where the only test of a joke is if its funny at face value- my numb nuts exposed, yawning.
Expecting at any minute to hear a lone haranguer from the back of the audience give forward the ancient cry ‘You’re rubbish, bring back the juggler”

Maybe I should have been more specific and said “off topic moronic dribble”.
I enjoy this blog, but lately every topic has devolved into pointless flame wars and as intellectual as everyone involved things they are being…
They are actually just as dumb as this video, only without the funny bit.
