Classy
The Chinese Americans who captured alleged killer Nai Yin Xue, have decided to donate most of the $10,000 reward money to his daughter Qian Xun.
That is so very classy. Especially as from all accounts none of the captors are well off themselves.

My heart warmed when I read this story. Words fail me. What great great people! To have jumped on the guy in the first place was amazing enough…. but now this wonderful gesture… gives me hope for the decency of mankind.

The Chinese government should offer them a trip to see the olympics as goodwill ambassadors they have done more for PR for the Chinese than anything in the last 100 years with one simple gesture.

If we remember the story – the grandmother is fairly well off and would probably prefer they kept the money. In fact she’d probably be happy to have been paying them a reward.
But of course it is a nice gesture.

democracymum, that’s a great idea. Maybe a bit ‘tangential’ though, as the two events aren’t really connected….. but certainly these people deserve some mark of recognition for their bravery, honesty and decency. Maybe NZ should recognise them in some way with an honour at the next honours list. Something symbolic.
