Compatibility between Microsoft and Facebook products can only be a good thing.

Microsoft wouldn’t foolish enough to mess with the Facebook formula – so I doubt you’d even need a Windows Live Passort.

I like Microsoft products, but they are trying at times. For example I like some of the features on the Windows Live Toolbar, but it doesn’t work anywhere near as good as the Google one, so I’ve had to ditch it.

Microsoft already has a share (15%) and interest in Facebook! If they do replace it, please don’t make it anything like the horrible Windows Live Spaces. *shudder*

MS isnt interested in growing social networks, they only want to protect their Windows and Office cash cows

as a side note… i installed explorer 8 beta yesterday… because im an idiot.. now im crashing every 10 mins or so arghhhh

if only firefox looked cooler and didnt load images so crappy! i hate the big X ya see before it loads..

You can click the ‘x’ in the top right hand corner of those unwanted messages to stop them showing up though…

i joined up and all that happened was i started getting messages from people i went to school with… theres a reason dime hasnt been in contact with these people!!

There surely is .. aside from Anne M who sat next to me in the 4th form, she can contact me

and then…. my inbox starts filling up with “xxx poked you” all that type of crap!

A snowball was the last straw for me – turns out you can’t really delete your profile completely too.

JP – Microsoft are not doing well in many areas – that is how Capitalism works. And if they buy Facebook I suspect capitalism will work as people use it less if they tinker with it.

Dime just doesnt get facebook..

i joined up and all that happened was i started getting messages from people i went to school with… theres a reason dime hasnt been in contact with these people!!

and then…. my inbox starts filling up with “xxx poked you” all that type of crap!

it also amazes me the amount of personal info people put on facebook.. no wonder HR look at facebook now when employing people..

DPF – you point about the passport is spot on. all of microsofts online sites suck! they just dont get it. MSN messenger is ok.. but all of their search and windowslive crap.. is just crap haha

DPF, this is called capitalism. If Microsoft are doing really, really well, this must be because they provide a service that keeps their customers happy. Didn’t you know?
