Sky Movie Downloads
May 2nd, 2008 at 7:23 am by David FarrarSky TV is launching a service next month to allow people to download movies showing on Sky, off the Internet. It will only cost $5 a month. Sounds useful to me, even though at this stage will not include the very latest movies.

Looks like you have to be a subscriber to Sky as well.

Torrents please. Until they start showing shows in New Zealand on time… not 1.5 years later. Dexter anyone?

Hahahah! What a wonderful service! How the hell would anybody download a movie off the internet in New Zealand? I have so-called ‘broadband’, but its not even fast enough to watch a YouTube clip…. let alone a whole movie! Geez…. what a f***ing tease…

Well I have a 10/10 connection so I’m not complaining
I assume it would be downloaded via the satellite?

Yep you do have to be a Sky Subscriber, No Doubt the downloads will be infected with DRM, meaning this will definitely not be attractive to those who download torrents anyway.

I’m with Dave Mann, I can’t even watch the U Tube clips on Kiwwiblog unless I sit here all day. I’m going to wait for real broadband, sky gets enough of our money now, no more.

A better move would be if you could download off your MySky box onto your computer.
Vote:Then you wouldn’t lose your recorded programs everytime MySky crashes!
