I laughed, and then I cried. What on earth is going on?

Can anybody tell me why, where I live at the moment, on the fringe of the Arabian desert, I can by Anchor cheese and NZ apples cheaper than I can at my local supermarket in Auckland?

the papers recently did an anlysis of where the increase in cost went – they couldn’t get an answer from the supermarket chains (funnily enough). Witn a duopoly controlling the retail side they are taking the opportunity to increase their margins. Funnily, when I did the shopping last week, I saw a $2 difference in 500g butter between two brands (Mainland and Fernleaf – both Fonterra?) so saved a bit that way.
The good news on high cheese prices is it is great for my cholesterol:)

Kiwi’s ain’ laughing about this, its like, how come the price of litre of unleaded petrol in Venezuela is just 12c, yes 12 US cents, we being stitched up as usual. However, if the end game is to throw out the current government, I dont mind a bit to have these Liarbour suckholes gone……..

Okay since the General Debate seems to have vanished, and someone has raised animals in this thread I’m not really changing the topic too much… 😀

Typical bloody Americans. They see us developing a reputation for fancying sheep and they have to go one bigger. At least we are authentic enough to use the real thing.

llew, a bit of a old wifes tale i would say, its given as a reinforcement reward for doing a agility task correctly ,ie a nice contact down and we are only talking a 2mmx2mm cube

Patrick, I imagine he’d have tried to steer the jury verdict whilst milking his reputation as a big cheese for all it was worth. However he’s now seriously damaged his brand. And of course the rulings of any judge of that calibre are likely to be seen as bullshit.

Sorry… all I can say in my defence is that it’s late 😀

Very late… I just had a horrific mental image of his honour in flagrante, yelling “More cowbell!!”
